I am new here but would love to play along. I trust this is just for deer? Will any species of deer count as well? When will it start as well because I leave next Weds for Idaho and Florida has kicked off its season already.

im in, im new to this site, just found it today, but im already loving it, so sign me up for the contest, season opens saturday here is ky, and im planning on having a big doe down before 10 am.

*Rules: Take them or Leave them No Changes,,,No Exceptions.

1.*You must be a registered user of this forum

2.*All deer must be taken legally according to the game laws of the state the deer was harvested.

3.*All deer must be harvested with a bow and arrow,,NO GUN KILL"S ALLOWED....

4.*A picture must be taken of you holding a piece of paper with the date you got your deer and over half the deer.It must be posted in the submission thread for the deer to count for your team....."I will make a submission thread once the teams are drawn."

5.*If you are a disabled hunter then you may use a crossbow for this contest.

6.*Please Be honest about your entry..

*All teams will be decided by drawing names from a hat,,,Number of people per team will depend on how many people signup.


Points:
Each bowhunter can submit up to 3 deer. Any combination of bucks or doe. Button bucks and spikes are to be counted as an antlerless deer. You may cull.

Each doe is worth 100 points.


*Each buck is worth 100 points plus 5 points for every point.To be considered a point it has to be an inch long........Shed bucks will only be counted for 50pts

*You must post the picture within a week of the kill.

I will be in remote Idaho for 11 days and may not have internet as we are living in RV's. Question comes in if I stick a deer and take the pictue but can't get it up before 7 days is my team out of luck? I know the rules are rules and they are great, just a question as I could (hopefully) have one down that could potentially fall outside the week to post.

this litle fellar came in at 6:00 pm and i shot him at 11 yards so I aim a bit high as he was right under me
he walked 15 yards and stopped and gave it up as he was hit pretty hard and he showed it

Got this 6 point buck today at 4:30pm.Been hunting since 2:00pm and at 4:30pm these 6 doe came in to my corn I had thrown out earlier,they looked to be enjoying the free meal I provided for them,then a few minutes later this nice Oklahoma 6 point came in to join them.A few bites down then whack,got a nice quarter shot on him,hit a lung and some vitals ran 50 yds. piled up end of story.
This will be my jerky buck,,,um good stuff.He weighed 100pounds.
