I was just wondering if anybody has had any problems with their bowtech limbs, I have a small splinter on my top limb, its about a 1/4 inch wide by 5 inches long, its on the bottom of the limb by the limb pocket. I have an allegiance 30 inch 80 lbs, I love the bow, I took it to the dealer and the new limbs are on the way, any other problems ou there?

My husband and I both shoot the Black Knight. I have not had any trouble with my 60 lb limbs, but my husband had to replace his 70 lb limbs twice within the first two months of buying his bow. He ended up going down to 60 lb limbs and has not had any more problems in almost a year. He has not regretted the switch to lighter limbs. He was an 80 lb shooter for years and went to 70 a couple years ago. Now he's at 60 and loves it.

I have only seen one limb that was cracked on a bowtech it was from a 2002 or 2003 Pro 40 dually. Bowtech sent new limbs for it, no questions asked. Their warranty work have been superb.

You are very right about the BowTech warranty. My husband sent his 70 lb limbs back twice within a month of buying his bow, and they were replaced with no questions asked and returned within two weeks from the day he took them to the shop. You can't ask for better service than that!

would you even stand for more than one set? 1 set of limbs would be enough, 2 and I would be bow shopping. I've seen a few bowtechs with limb problems.

I used to shoot the original super slams, man the limbs used to feather on those things, Needless to say the customer service was great for the bad limbs, but I've never been down that road since.

Lifes way to short to always working on a bow, and there are way too many bows with very little problems.

I just bought my first matthews, I bought the switchback xt, I will tell you my cousin bought the same bow on Saturday, he didn't even have the bow setup with rest or nothing, pulled it back on Sunday showing it off and it blew up. String cam off? it busted the cam. Bad deal for a bow that never got shot? WHO KNEW?

Had that happen to a guy w/a hoyt mt sport one time. Put a new string on it for him and was tring to get the peep at the right hight and as he would let the bow down each time he was torquing the bow out away from his body. well string rolled off the top cam. Well lets just say the string was a very odd shape. Bet he never torqued the bow when letting it down again.:doh:

One of the reasons I bought the Guardian from Bowtech was because I had a friend shooting at the local range, Who was using the Drenalin, that was 2 months old and his limbs began to crack. But then mine made it only 3 days and the top limb exploded. But I did get a new bow out of it. Stuck with the Guardian but moved up to the 70 lb edition. So basically most of the name brand bows have had something go wrong at one time or another. Like buying a car.:peace:
