BUNNYMAN 02-19-2007, 10:47 PM stopped and payed for it tonight......Mathews says 4 weeks till delivery....
it might just make the Bowman 29 3dshoots smackdown.....and will definetley be going to the dredly 100......
so my question is what is the lightest peep out there w/a medium size hole....I dont like a tiny hole but dont like a huge one either.....
I figured out a brass nocking point weighs in at 5 grains and a loop it roughly 9 grains....anyone know what those rubber cussion buttons weigh???.....I may just get a rope head for the true ball and forget the loop......
I ordered a 27.5 as the boss is always telling me I look like my draw is too short.....
bullspotter 02-19-2007, 11:10 PM wow... 4 weeks is a long time to wait for a new toy.......... Will be cool when it comes though!!

Hey Bowman, congrats on the Prestige. I have not shot one but people in my local shop who did say they are sweet.
Yeah, I've seen the G5 peeps in the shop and they look like they are very well made. They are magnesium I believe. Too bad they made them blue instead of black... Nothing blue on my bow... Yet...
Ron

dzingale 02-20-2007, 12:15 PM I wish they made them in black to.
Ronhop 02-20-2007, 12:20 PM Yeah, and they are kind of a funky blue... Weird looking.
And, that's the only thing they sell that's blue.
Don't ask me... I have no clue.
Ron
dano1977 02-20-2007, 12:46 PM Why are you worried about the string weight? It'll be plenty fast! What draw weight did you get? @27.5 and 61 lbs, grained out, I got 291. I like super peeps from super ball. You can get the screw in apertures and make the hole any size you want. That way you can always make it the same size as your pin gaurd. You can also screw in a clarifier or verifier if you need it. Just my 2 cents.

OK, thanks!:biggrin1:
Ronhop 02-20-2007, 03:15 PM One is 1/4 and the other is 3/16.
I just got back from Scheels in Iowa City.
They have 3 sizes. 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8".
Man, the 1/8" is really small. The 3/8" is REALLY big. 1/4" sounds fine.
They are still blue though. The guy in the shop said it reduces the "halo" that forms around a black peep in bright sun. Halo ? What the heck is he smoking ? I shoot in bright sun all the time and I don't see a halo. Must mean I'm going to hell when I die.

dzingale 02-20-2007, 06:11 PM I went on A different website and only saw 2.

You can change out peeps (Yo' my PEEPS) and use a verifier w/ pins or clarifier w/ scope.
BowhuntnHoosier 02-20-2007, 08:26 PM SWEET......................4 weeks crap thats a long time.
But it will definately be worth the wait if you are looking for some speed at your DL.
Have you tried peepless?? I have not but a couple of guys around here say they like it.
I'm getting rid of my tubed peep for targets. Probably just go with a fletcher.

Ronhop 02-21-2007, 11:51 AM I care Ron...What did you think of it????:biggrin1:
Very smooth and little hand shock. I thought it was a very smooth drawing bow.
I just happened to be looking at it out of curiosity. It's a little strange since the cam and idler have such a large diameter. It had a rest and sight on it and the guy in the shop asked if I wanted to give it a try. I felt very comfortable with it. I shot it about 10-12 times with Easton Fatboys and a TRU Ball Pro Diamond release. That was the first time I shot Fatboys too. The results at the target end were mixed, probably due to the fact that the thing was set up for a 'generic' person and there was no peep on it. I liked it a lot though. The Bowtech/Diamond grips are WAY better than they used to be too. It's 'Birth Certificate' said it was 71# and a 29" draw.
Ron
dzingale 02-21-2007, 12:06 PM They do have A great grip. One of the that I believe is that the grip is te most important part of the bow because it never leaves your hand. Good luck on your decision.
Danny
dzingale 02-21-2007, 12:09 PM Bowman,
You are right about my choice of bows but I think that Mathews makes A great bow. I like thew grip and solid wall on the bowtech. But if there was no bowtech I would definately shoot Mathews.
