Rack Tracker 06-30-2005, 02:17 PM Here's off of the G5 website: Subject: A couple more days and we should know about the Tekan and IL. Question: Posted on 6/14/2005: It is my understanding that the barbed language is being removed and the Tekan should become legal in IL after the 17th. Will you post up something definitve when the ruling becomes official? Response: Responded on 6/15/2005: Your correct. The State of Illinois DNR department has informed us that they have removed the barbed language from their state regulations. Which means the Tekan and Tekan-II are legal broadheads and can be used to harvest game animals in that state legally, as of 6/15/05. glenny 07-15-2005, 09:48 AM I had puchased a half dozen of these prior to finding out that they became Illegal...or considered barbed. As for ths years selection of broadheads,I am still up in the air on which ones I am going to be shooting. I do however still have them, and did shoot them in practice and they are dead on the money for accuracy. I just might,we will see what the vote is for the Best Broadheads for 2005? post brings. What is the difference between the first Tekan and the second? glenny 07-21-2005, 11:00 AM I guess what I hear from a few,and from the ??? on g5's web that there are extender blades coming out to get more cutting diameter. I will be getting some of these to say te least if they do become available. OH....Will I..... glenny 08-04-2005, 10:54 PM Man,watch your fingers, I think these just might do the justice I have been looking for. They are not much different by looking at them, but, they do expand a little easier,I like the head of the new blades being sharp, really nice..... I will put the extender blades on em' come season. glenny 09-11-2005, 08:45 AM I put them on yesterday. I sure am honestly looking at these things and getting almost impatient to see what they are gonna do,but,I won't feel sorry for them trust me,I promise. I noticed when shooting at a target that the open soon as the hit the paper and start cutting immediately. man are they sharp, and sharp. |
