Being new to 3-d shooting I wasn't sure if you could use a rangefinder or not.Do they allow them where you shoot?I'm not to good at estimating distance but don't want to break the rules. Thanks, Bob

View Full Version : Are you allowed to use rangefinders when shooting 3-d? Chris 06-23-2005, 09:04 PM Muzzyman is right. Most 3D shoots are unmarked yardage and learning to judge is part of the game. Sometimes clubs will put on a marked yardage and they tell you how far each shot is. BowChic 06-29-2005, 07:35 AM Our rules say no rangefinders allowed. Check with your club rep and they may not care if you go back through after the shoot and check the yardage with the rangefinder. That will help you out a lot by letting you know if you judged your yardage incorrectly or if you made a bad shot. I have never thought to ask that. THX :) |
