I think I am going to try a .010 pin..... Ronhop 04-02-2007, 09:58 AM I am currently using .029 and may want to convert to .019 It should unless you have a tuning or target panic issue. I use .019. I shot a bow last weekend with .029 pins and it looked strange to me even though that's what I used for quite a while... Hey Bowman, who makes .010 fiber ? That would be interesting to try out. Ron Dredly 04-02-2007, 12:06 PM you should be able to see the X better :) BUNNYMAN 04-02-2007, 01:04 PM It should unless you have a tuning or target panic issue. I use .019. UPSTATE 04-02-2007, 02:23 PM A .010 pin is nearly half the diameter of a .019 pin. The numbers mean one thousands of an inch. A 10 of thousand of an inch pin is 9 one thousand of an inch smaller than a 19 one thousand pin. Actually I'm not sure if its inches or centemeters but the rules still apply. I looked at scopes to find the smallest dot in it. it help's you see the x better & you can put it inside a 12ring at 45yds on 3-x scope. 1 i had the dot was to big & filled the ring.:peace: jcmorgan31 04-02-2007, 08:08 PM I never can sneak my edits by anybody....:noidea: Viper does make .010 pins...... __________________ Mathews Ovation....................Mathews Apex 7 .................Copper John ANTS Evo2................. STRO 04-02-2007, 08:33 PM I switched to the .019 pins last summer and could tell a difference. the pin didn't cover the 12 ring as much, it's like fine tuning your accuracy. whitetail99 04-02-2007, 08:43 PM I am currently using .029 and may want to convert to .019 I shoot a .010 pin for hunting and 3D and it the best for my shooting requirements. Check out the Sword 3rd plane with .010 pins. Pinwheel1969 04-02-2007, 09:06 PM I dont use a pin for spots. I use a dot w/ a outside ring. BUNNYMAN 04-02-2007, 09:13 PM I dont use a pin for spots. Since you cant see it. I find it more of a mental battle w/ a pin. So much target to get your pin to float on. W/ a dot it doesnt seem to float as much!! but its more mental in your mind!!! But I like it alot better. It took me a few days to get used to it. But I really improved my scores. I was averaging 300 w/ 56-58 X's. nows its more like 58 to 60 x BowhuntnHoosier 04-02-2007, 09:35 PM alot easier to fix on the X. Since you cant see it. I find it more of a mental battle w/ a pin. But when I shoot at a bullseye target I have some minor (I hope) troubles. so help me out my bow totin brethrin. I would get my pin right under the 12 and it was stuck there. It got so bad I would try to time my jerk. I am mentally now trying tell myself that it is ok to let the pin float.
