I use .019. I shot a bow last weekend with .029 pins and it looked strange to me even though that's what I used for quite a while...

Extreme makes .010 pins...and I thought that Viper did also.....there are a few companies that do.....

A .010 pin is nearly half the diameter of a .019 pin. The numbers mean one thousands of an inch. A 10 of thousand of an inch pin is 9 one thousand of an inch smaller than a 19 one thousand pin.

Actually I'm not sure if its inches or centemeters but the rules still apply.

I agree with dred.
I looked at scopes to find the smallest dot in it.
it help's you see the x better & you can put it inside a 12ring at 45yds on 3-x scope.
1 i had the dot was to big & filled the ring.:peace:

I switched to the .019 pins last summer and could tell a difference. the pin didn't cover the 12 ring as much, it's like fine tuning your accuracy.

I shoot a .010 pin for hunting and 3D and it the best for my shooting requirements. Check out the Sword 3rd plane with .010 pins.

alot easier to fix on the X. Since you cant see it. I find it more of a mental battle w/ a pin. So much target to get your pin to float on. W/ a dot it doesnt seem to float as much!! but its more mental in your mind!!! But I like it alot better. It took me a few days to get used to it. But I really improved my scores. I was averaging 300 w/ 56-58 X's. nows its more like 58 to 60 x

this may sound stupid but what do you guys mean by target panic?

yup what he said.....that goes for me also....

I dont think in my case a smaller pin helps me, as i cant see the x at 20 yards any ways, i just center my pin in the target and hold their, a slightly bigger pin, is easier to center. if its centerd, or close it will hit the x.....
