I shot two possums and a coon off my deck last fall...these critters were getting into my trash...it was cool, it was really my first bowhunting experience. My daughter play house is 22 yds from my backdoor and the trash cans are right behind it. I put a small plate of dry dog food on the little porch of her playhouse...grabbed a beer and sat inside my house and watched through the two big glass doors. At 1:am I noticed the coon sitting on the front porch eating dog food...I quietly opened the glass door and crept out onto the deck, the release was clean and the beman was flying straight..actually I pinned him right up against the playhouse. Now if that ain't redneck I don't know what is..HAHAHA...It was amazing, the coon lay dead at the foot of the playhouse when that nasty possum came around the corner and started eating the coon!!! Again I slipped out and nailed that bastard...I went out to check if they were both dead, I went back into the house and sat for an hour or so....I guess Mama possum was worried about her boyfriend, she cam wallowing across; under the street light...she sniffed the other possum and started chowing down on the coon. For the third time a critter got up and personal with my thunderhead...Cleaning up the mess was really nasty the next morning...but I happy to report I don't have a pest problem at present.

Around here, there is extended deer season on farmland-deer are classed as a nuisance and destructive to crops so farm owners get special tags. If you are lucky enough to get in, you can go a month early and stay a month later than everyone else.

Fox is trapped year-round; don't know about shooting them though.

Any animal threatening my kids will get it-feral, pet or otherwise (super-protective mom here). I was attacked by a dog once and I don't want my kids to go through that.

Crows in PA as well as "varmint". I don't think there is a season for most varmints, its whenever you feel like shooting them...

possum, coyote, praie dogs, crows, ground hogs...

I'm pretty sure that "Red Tag" areas (crop damaged by dear area) is open hunting year round for doe only.. but you need to get a tag

NICE!!! In FL hogs, coyotes for sure on privet land and most farmers/ranchers want them gone as bad as you want somthing to hunt.

Hafa Adai!, The Airforce base has gotten real liberal with the deer season now, going to a quota system on the deer population on their property. Basically it is almost year round. Just buy the special season tags. The is also change in the Wild Boar limit (no more limit!) and changes to the Franklin pheasant limits. When were you on Guam?

I was there AGES ago, 1980-1984 down at NAS Agana. Beautiful place and people, loved it so much! I hated to leave!!!! Went total island when there, surfing, diving, doing all the fiestas, etc.

ps-is the nude beach still on the NAVCAM Station? hehehe! I loved that place!
