View Full Version : And here's my new Vulcan Woo Hoo! Sammy PSU 05-02-2007, 11:01 AM   :clap2: :whoo: Sammy PSU 05-02-2007, 11:16 AM Here it really is! 2 things I've discovered immediately. It's a top heavy devil, the original stabilizer I had for it is not gonna work, so put this one on. Secondly, there's not a huge amount of room spared for the TR Drop Zone. So that leads to a question............is there anyway to avoid having the string to the DZ not rub on the riser??? If not, a bit of electrical tape?? Will that effect the timing? Arrows will be flying tonight!:peace: Holy Smokes 05-02-2007, 11:27 AM Have ya tried a Martin or a Matthews>:biggrin1: Ronhop 05-02-2007, 11:33 AM   :clap2: :whoo: Now that's funny... Ron Short are you crazy its 2" more than my XT. Very nice bow there Sammy have fun and try not to hood any arrows. :peace: Ronhop 05-02-2007, 12:54 PM Short are you crazy its 2" more than my XT. Very nice bow there Sammy have fun and try not to hood any arrows. :peace: No, I meant the way it looked in the pic it seemed shorter than 33"... Maybe it had something to do with the laughing at the pic of Spock... Ron BUNNYMAN 05-02-2007, 01:36 PM what about attaching the up/down rope to the string, thus pulling up instead of down??? Just wondering?? not sure if it would work or not......how about some pictures from the back to get an idea of the clearance.... wp_bowmaster 05-02-2007, 03:06 PM First of all it has wheels and second it is wrong handed.:noidea: ...:noidea: wp_bowmaster 05-02-2007, 03:11 PM Here it really is! 2 things I've discovered immediately. I see you got your goodies put on it. BUNNYMAN 05-02-2007, 05:38 PM I thought hoyt could not be sold on the net???? hope that was a used one!!!!:biggrin1: :biggrin1: tek 05-02-2007, 07:05 PM Sammy, The first rest I used on my Vulcan also rubbed the brace, it didnt seem to have any bad affects on the tuning or timing. For a stablilzer I'm only using a 5 inch doinker, the bow balances, holds and aims very good with that. I've been 3Ding with the Vulcan for a while now and doing very good with it. I think you will like it  Sammy PSU 05-02-2007, 07:34 PM I don't know if I'll be able to move my shoulders tomorrow, because I sledgehammered 200 shots about as fast as I could do them to get my peep set up & rest tuned. I was worried about a couple of issues, but I'm glad to say none of them are a concern whatsover. Unbelievably smooth draw, very solid anchor, and of all things...........quiet (which was surprising). All in all I'm ecstatic over this bow, very glad I got it. I didn't chron it, but I can tell that it is firing ballistic missles. :hail: :scared: 'SIN'ERGY 05-02-2007, 07:40 PM I thought hoyt could not be sold on the net???? hope that was a used one!!!!:biggrin1: :biggrin1: You droppin dimes out of your pocket???? BUNNYMAN 05-02-2007, 07:47 PM You droppin dimes out of your pocket???? umm not sure what that means???:noidea: 'SIN'ERGY 05-02-2007, 07:49 PM umm not sure what that means???:noidea: It's a joke that means you are telling:laugh:  BUNNYMAN 05-02-2007, 07:52 PM It's a joke that means you are telling:laugh:  not telling just wondering.....:noidea: :biggrin1: 'SIN'ERGY 05-02-2007, 07:53 PM Just jokin:laugh: Radar 05-02-2007, 09:08 PM Generally Drop Zone's don't work well on Hoyts. Best bet would be to get the Trophy Taker with the large launcher they work alot better because they pull from different positions.:peace: BUNNYMAN 05-02-2007, 09:40 PM Generally Drop Zone's don't work well on Hoyts. Best bet would be to get the Trophy Taker with the large launcher they work alot better because they pull from different positions.:peace: agreed and they also dont offer rebuild kits for Trophy Takers.....like they do for Drop zones..... why you ask??? cuz they are not needed..... Chris 05-04-2007, 10:25 PM Yeah poor Mike has to work on and shoot all those bows and he gets paid to do it. Anyone here ever had any of his magic dust sprinkled on their bow??? Just wondering if he is as good as everyone says.:noidea: So how much do ya charge for your custom tune ups Chris???? What kind of bow and what would you like me to do for you? I can only guess what crackers does. As far as I know it's strings & cables, put the bow to exact spec and timing/sync the cams properly. Let me know and I'll try to get some pricing together for you. BUNNYMAN 05-04-2007, 10:34 PM What kind of bow and what would you like me to do for you? I can only guess what crackers does. I wonder if we can just get some and sprinkle it on our bows and have Chris wiggle his nose at that same time.:biggrin1: BowhuntnHoosier 05-04-2007, 10:43 PM What kind of bow and what would you like me to do for you? I can only guess what crackers does. As far as I know it's strings & cables, put the bow to exact spec and timing/sync the cams properly. Let me know and I'll try to get some pricing together for you. I was just wondering what kind of price a professional tune up is??? My XT already outshoots me so gettin it tuned any better will probably not help. wp_bowmaster 05-04-2007, 10:48 PM He wants kicked out dont he!!! Gonna Have someone else work on it. Dont bring it to me to fix. Dano bought new bucknastys and I had to reserve the center serving right out of the package!!! BowhuntnHoosier 05-05-2007, 06:56 AM why did Cody kick you out for spilling the LT......? I was just curious how much it cost.:noidea: Besides Cody can't kick me out because then he would have no one for the grunt work.:biggrin1: Chris 05-05-2007, 08:17 AM I was just wondering what kind of price a professional tune up is??? My XT already outshoots me so gettin it tuned any better will probably not help. It would help. A properly tuned rig is easier to shoot. The XT is a good shooting bow, just watch your cam rotation sync. If the cable stretches, the nock point moves up and you will find that you have to keep adjusting your sight because you are hitting low. Chris 05-05-2007, 09:52 AM I'd say that stuff is very expensive. I wonder if we can just get some and sprinkle it on our bows and have Chris wiggle his nose at that same time.:biggrin1: Sure you can buy it but that magic dust for your nose will get you 10-20yrs. |
