how far max we shoot.....

around here the max in top gun class is 50yrds......max open is 45yrd.....

I found a thread over on At the other day that said most shots were 35 or less

only 2 were 40-45....big targets....

I've had a Topgun target at 60...a caribou if my memory serves me...:biggrin1:

I usaully shoot in whatever class the rest of the group is shooting in....unless an equipment violation would result.....

It was at Black Rock a few years ago...Might have been an Elk...But they had some reachers for sure they had a lion at 55 yrds I remember that one for sure...:doh: :laugh:

I dont mind launching arrows for fun but.....is 55yrds ethical for most people???:noidea:

I dont know if it was the same year,but this is something else to know someone was there thats on this sight!!!
I shoot bad finished 52 out of over 600 archers in 3 days it was unreal!!
The next week i got 3rd in willmington nc nfaa eastern reagonal.
Ive still got the trophy. but union grove i could never shoot there!

Yeah I think topgun is 50 yrd max...But it's a 3d thing they usually put 1 or 2 way out...Ethical??? to alot of people it's just targets not hunting practice:noidea: ...I know my limits...but they're not the same as your's or Smoke's...so what's ethical...My bow will kill a coyote at 60 yrds and I can hit the vitals at 60 and if I'm confident in the shot, the wind and the situation...I'll take the shot...

Yup there is something about tha Grove that tears up folks. As ya know in tha early days it was nothing ta have 1500 shooters. I feel that the magnanimity of it had a lot ta do with it.
My best finish was in '88' at 5th unlimited class
