How do you work the burr? Do you "fold" it over the same direction each time, do you alternate which sides you build the burr and take it off, do you even worry about the burr?
Thought about it today and I usually alternate, but it makes more sense (to me) to work it the same direction each time so that the work-hardened edge is on the same "side" of the edge.
What's your thoughts? I'm using one of those Lansky vise contraptions with guide rods.

So everyone buys replacement blades or just grinds off material till it's sharp?

Great video, BA
I use to use just a soft wetstone & 3n1 oil, on my old fixed blade titain's
I would run them in a circular motion on both sides, like my buck knife.
Then i would draw them like he does in a backward motion 10 times but not stright back kinda from tip to tail, put a real good edge on them.
Now with the mechinicals theres nothing left after the shot to sharpen! I just buy new one's!
