'SIN'ERGY 06-30-2007, 08:10 AM Anyone who uses "the Can" has seen that , the pic is on the side of every one of them. I wish my can would call in one like that.
kbohunt 06-30-2007, 08:17 AM That one was big but he's gone now.
But theres ones just as big.
Im booked on a hunt there & the outfitter is sending me trail pics of what is still there!
I was reading about this buck, they say this is the 3rd biggest non-typical in the world, the other 2 the hole in the horn buck was found dead in ohio & the Missouri monarc was found dead on train tracks!
Thats wild that the biggest non-typical in the world was taken with a stick & string!:biggrin1:

Sniper 06-30-2007, 04:35 PM That buck makes me wonder if we should notify the EPA. That mutant looks like it was growing up in a superfund site. How old was it, what did it eat and drink, and was it off a reserve and paid for. What's the real story. I know that animals like that do exist in the wild, having got a 677 lb bear in Pa myself the first time I hunted them, but I also know how rare exceptional specimens are.
kbohunt 06-30-2007, 09:44 PM The story can be found all over the web. just type in his name.
The interesting thing is the game commision lab tested the deer,it was only
4 1/2 years old shot on a farm in a corn field which hadnt been hunted.
39pts Scored 304 green!
Local land owner found sheds a year earlier at 3 1/2 years old this buck was at 220!
Man what gene's!
I might sell a Ill hunt and stay in ohio 2 weeks!:biggrin1:

I think it grossed around 203. Had 3 drop tines broken off. You can see the nubs where they were in the picture. This is the bad part of being a taxidermist. You are always seeing what you will never shoot......
