Hello,

I recently puchased a used Jennings Unistar bow to get back into archery. I havent shot in about 10 years until recently, after shooting a bit i think that this bow isnt set up correctly.

Can anyone help me out on some of the specs for this bow?

I need to know what the string length is supposed to be. I think the previous owner put a long string on it and it is causing problems.

On the lower limb, the cable is touching the limb. Im pretty sure this shouldnt be happeneing. Any ideas as to what is going on?

I also need to know what the brace height should be.

Thanks alot.

there was always a tag on the jennings bow limb for the info. it sounds like the string is to long. it is best to take it to a dealer for a look.

OK, I tried this and they don't work from here. You can't click on the link. Gotta type it in from a search engine such as Yahoo. Then either one of them works.

Unfortunately the sticker on the limb was removed so i dont have anything to refrence to. When i bought the bow on consignment, i got it from a jennings dealer. They looked over the bow before i bought it and told me it was ok. When they tried to shorten the draw length for me a shorter string was put on, when this happened the cables were binding alot on the limbs, so he put the old string back on and left it at that.

Thanks for the info. Im checking out the bow repair group now.
