View Full Version : Week 4: 3DShoots Vegas Sit-Down League jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 08:44 AM Well, the final week is finally here. It seems a few gave up and decided not to play this week. We are missing 4 players, but still have enough for a game. jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 08:57 AM Round 1: Starting it off with a bang here..... A 4 way shoot off....... It looks like everyone shot a decent first end trying to make round 2. Sorry QSA, that redbird did you in. We should all pat QSA on the shoulder. This league was his idea and most likely would not have happened without him striking the match. I had fun running it, and I hope you all enjoyed it. If so, thank QSA. Now get out your sandpaper and go prepare a spot for me on the OAK..... jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:00 AM Round 2: We have another shoot off and you just won't believe who's involved or who gets the short end of the stick. Watch your back from now on Chelleo, bowhuntnhoosier has to have a chip on his shoulder by now........... Thanks for playing hoosier, hope you enjoyed yourself and improved your game. jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:18 AM Round 3: Chelleo, at least you made it far enough to put your nemesis on the OAK one last time....:D Thanks for your participation. Maybe if your bow was a little prettier............ jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:21 AM Round 4: This is what happens when, suddenly, without warning, you make the unexplainably stupid decision to try the "push - pull" method of back tension in the middle of a round......:frusty: jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:33 AM Round 5: vawildfire my friend.......you fought the good fight. It is easy to see some of these scores and wonder why we even bother...... Persistence and dedication is what makes archers better archers...... Now pack it up and move off the line......:D jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:38 AM Round 6: We start handing out points to these last 5 survivors. It has take 2 shoot offs to settle this one. Hookem has come a long way, but his quest is finished with a 29. Thanks for playing and you got a point...... jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:44 AM Round 7: Gator, your 30 just didn't make the cut this far in. You've been around the top every week and we appreciate the competition. Thanks for playing, you got a couple points......the OAK is calling your name...... jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:49 AM Round 8: Singin has found himself up with the big boys again. Just think, one more point would have let you sit ole Spotts this week.... Thanks for your time and scores. Hope things work out for you in the real world...... jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:54 AM Round 9: xxSPOTTSxx must have been having an off week as he only hit 22 x's this time around....... unfortunately, Bowman was on fire.... Thanks Spotts for giving us all something to shoot for.......... I would like to take a moment to officially give you a new nickname for use on 3Dshoots.com......I dub you "The Reality Check"............:peace: jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 09:59 AM Which leaves us with this weeks champ..... Bowman my man, that is some impressive shootin.... If my calculations are correct, you fired off a 299 with 25 X's....:scared: Congrats on this weeks win......... BUNNYMAN 08-14-2007, 10:06 AM Stupid 9's why they even put them on the paper is beyond me:frusty: :frusty: :frusty: jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 10:14 AM Results after week 4..... jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 10:26 AM Top 5: xxSPOTTSxx 18pts BOWMAN 16pts SinGin 11pts Gator eye 7pts "SIN" ERGY 3pts Overall X count winner ----- xxSPOTTSxx with 80 Xs (winner of the QSA Award Highest weekly X count ----- BOWMAN with 25 Xs in week 4 Lowest total X count (participated all 4 weeks (winner of the Posten Award)) ----- BowhuntnHoosier with 18 Xs jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 10:47 AM Here are the stats that make running a league like this worth it. As a group we have improved. Some of us might have only maintained or slumped a bit, but as a whole we improved. That means individuals are being motivated to shoot and that results in them improving their personal scores. I don't consider it a wast of time to shoot and turn in a mediocre score every week when it results in another person becoming a better archer. If we continue these leagues, we will spark an interest in more people. That interest will only make the sport grow. As a group our average score was 329.69 with 8.8 X's for round 1. Our round 4 averages were 373.13pts and 15 X's......:thumb: jcmorgan31 08-14-2007, 10:49 AM I have enjoyed running this league. Thanks to all that have participated and sent me their scores. I hope we do this again soon and if we do I would be happy to continue to run it. Maybe next time we will use 5 spots.....:D I can actually see the Xs on those babies with my scope.....:peace: vawildfire 08-14-2007, 11:49 AM Congrats to the winners. :high5: I missed out on the Posten award by 4 X's:frusty: Thanks to QSA and jcmorgan for making it happen. pilot 08-14-2007, 12:15 PM Congrats to everyone for some good shootin and i hate that i didn't participate in the final week but long hours at work and a family emergency over the weekend conspired against me.....
