I'm told expandables are the way to go on turkeys.Has anyone had experience with expandables,and if so what do you think.Please specify which type whether bad or good.Thanks Guys!!!!!

Turkey heads need to be different than deer broadheads. The reason is you need to hit them HARD. Not just blow through. Pass throughs are fine except when you do not make a "perfect" hit.

Take the NAP gobbler getter. It is basically a spitfire but has a smooth, not sharp point. This means the kinetic energy gets transferred to the turkey. Don't get me wrong, it still penetrates but hits the turkey like a Mack Truck.

Another head I want to try is the gobbler guilletine. This thing is huge and you aim for the head. They come in 2 sizes. 2.5" and 4" cutting diameter. They are Not expandables. When you hit the head, it usually comes clean off.

Check out the Double Bull Archery videos, another year on the ground #5. They shoot quite a few with these.

I really like the Rocket Sidewinders, I have not had one fail me yet.

Aim for the neck, just above the breast or just below the head.

A Buddy of mine us them and they work just like they should,but do not shoot over 20yd they will plan really bad.:D

i have always used my muzzy 100 grain just like i use for deer. shot a few of the Gobblers last month The 2.5 inch heads and they are ok but unless your going to be shooting no more then 15-20 yards after that they just go crazy they wobble alot. and if you pratice enough you can take a head shot with a normal broadhead.

shot one last year and took his head plum off at 22 yrds (rangefinder).

ive got a quastion how do you practice with those gobbler guillittines? seems like they would break if you shot them at a target.

All I do is sight in at 20 yard with my f.p. and it work just find. Give it a try.
