View Full Version : scouting results
Archerdad 09-09-2007, 11:19 PM a friend of mine was scouting the other day. ran across a stand that i was unaware was on the lease.
so we go check it out.. lo and behold we have a fence jumper.
what would you do with the stand?:noidea:
BuckeyeRed 09-10-2007, 01:11 AM I would inform the owner of the incident and take the stand down. I cannot stand "SNEAK" hunters. They are just as bad as poachers in my book.
Archerdad 09-10-2007, 01:14 AM we took the stand down for certain. and the tree steps and the fancy boat ladder they had too.
only i threw the boat ladder prtion over the fence where they crossed.
maybe they will figger it out.:dizzy:

Don't bet on it bud. Once a sneak always a sneak. Hopefully they will move off your lease, but they will move to somenone elses spot for sure.
bullspotter 09-10-2007, 01:42 AM i would leave it alone, scout it everyday till you see someone in it, then when they are in it, sneak up and take the ladder down!! Or just show up with the local fish and game guys and nail them for it!!
Holy Smokes 09-10-2007, 06:57 AM Here is one sure way ta let these fellars know ya ain't gonna put up with this type of behavior.
Can you make a citizens arrest in yore state/
do you have a permit to carry?
I would'nt do so with out some backup
hduc2005 09-10-2007, 09:15 AM remove the stand and throw it over the fence attach a note that states why you moved the stand and if you see them or the stand again you will be contacting the DNR
I'd leave a note on the boat ladder with your phone number telling them to call you and you'll give them their stand and climbing steps back. :D

it was only about 10 ft up, small ladder and 3 steps.
and i'd have to drive 30 minutes one way to do that. not really affordable:frusty:
