View Full Version : Broadheads shooting low?
ILhunter16 09-15-2007, 04:54 PM Im still confused about broadhead tuning. I am dead on at 10, 20, and 30 yards and my broadheads are shooting roughly 6 inches lower then my field points. (both 100 gr.) I shoot muzzy 4 blades and my rest is a whisker bisquit. I have no clue what to do.:censored: :censored:
Chris 09-15-2007, 05:15 PM Are you shooting a hoyt? This is not a slam or a bash, please don't take it that way. I had an issue recently with a Hoyt and muzzys shooting low.
ILhunter16 09-15-2007, 05:17 PM No, i am not shooting a hoyt
Chris 09-15-2007, 06:08 PM Give us some details about the bow brand and model, the draw length, the draw weight, the arrow spine and length etc.

Chris 09-15-2007, 08:37 PM One thing you can try. Move your whisker biscuit up just a touch or bring your nocking point down just a hair.
Then retest. Note, your impact point will be different but what we are trying to find out is if your arrows get closer together.

this is hard to explain but ill try my best: When you move the whisker biscuit up do you move the accutuly circle back so that it is straight up and down, if you know what im talking about?

OK Chris, Spill the Beans! This is the first year I am shooting Muzzys and I'm shooting low with my Broadheads. And Yes, I have a Hoyt!

kbohunt 09-16-2007, 07:44 PM Dont listen ta bowman on this subject he's gonna mess you up!
I say dont worry about them broadheads.
Take that posten target stabelizer and put it on your huntin bow ta help it shoot stright!
Buy a wisker bisket and a metal D loop!
Get up in your treestand atleast 25 feet.
Strap your harness up real tight and hang Up-side down and get ready for the deer!
When you shoot upside down your arrow cannot shoot low,Trust me!
If you miss the deer!
You need to Tree Tune that Hoyt!
And buy ya a PSE!

The length of the Target stabelizer will pull his shot down,or up, or down!
