I was 24 when i took my 1st deer.I was using a model 37 winchester 12ga(I still have it).And i believe i was 29 when i took my 1st archery deer.Both were a long time ago.I shot at a lot of deer before i finally connected using a bow.Bows/sights/rests and BH's have come a loooooooong way.:amen:

First was when I was about 22 years old. Shot a 6 pointer with my JC Higgins 12 gauge.
First archery buck was about a year later. 5 pointer shot with my Golden Eagle bow and 2315 XX75s. Shot him at about 8 yards and he ran about 20 and dropped.

I was 12, 6 point, 243. Very long time ago and still have the rifle. Both of my sons have taken their first deer with it and my grand son will use it this fall to try to get his first deer.
