Default Gold Tips and Whisker Bisquits

After about six months of enjoying my new passion, I'm ready to upgrade from my Wal-Mart arrows to something a bit better.

I've decided to go with either CX Terminator Light Hunters or Gold Tip XT Hunters, since they're the only two brands my local shop carries (support your local pro, right?). I like the specs of both, but the XT's are about 10 bucks cheaper a dozen, and a lot of you seem to like them. The only issue I have is that the XT's don't come with Blazers. I've torn up enough 4" vanes to be wary of them. Have any of you folks had experience with XT's and bisquits? Would the price difference be worth me having to refletch and retune a dozen arrows? Or should I just go with the Terminators and be done with it?

Default better arrows hold up better....

you'll find that the GT xt vanes will last much longer through a biscuit than the vanes on cheaper arrows..............

I used GT's with my WB for over a year with no problems, when the vanes started to curl I would just straiten them with a hair blower and they were good to go again.

You can order your arrows with any fletching that you want. I beleive in supporting my local pro shop and I do, but if they don't have what I want. I will find it and order it. Then again, for less than a half donzen arrows you can use the Catawba Hostage rest and shoot any vane that you wish, due to full arrow containment and no fletching contact.

    Default GT XT's

Order them bare or order them with blazers. They are worth it, if your worried about your fletchings coming off just add a "little" dab of glue to the leading and trailing edge of the vane when you fletch the arrows. I have shot gold tips through a wb for 3 years, haven't had a problem yet.

    Default catawba hostage

I've seen those, and I want one. It's now called the Diamond Hostage, since Bowtech/Diamond bought Catawba.
