Which Matthews should i buy?
hello all, im in the market for a used Matthews and am looking to you pros for help. I have the option of a 2000 Z Max (fast), a 2002 Q2, or an 03 Outback (small and fast), the catch is i want to hunt, but also perfrom well in 3d. Any help you all could offer would be great, the outback is the newest of the 3 and most advanced but it seems geared towards hunting and might not perform well in the accuracy department. The zmax is the cheapest of the 3 but im not sure if the technology of the first solo cam is not worth it. thanks all for your help

I would go for the outback. Mostly because you are getting newer technology and better nock travel. It seems as the mathews bows have advanced the nock travel has gotten better and is now superb.

I would go with the
Outback if I were you. Adam now settle down a little there these fellas can't help it they have their own opinions just like we do. And fella's if a guy is asking your opinions on 3 different bows then give that to him do not start trying to confuse him with other manufacturers. I believe a person should shoot every bow they possible can before buying one. The SB XT was the bow for me. Bowtechs and Hoyts are nice but just answer headshok50 question and if you do not know anything about these bows then maybe you should be silent on this matter. Now see there Adam was'nt that better than blowing your top.

Outback without a doubt..
if you can find a matthews legacy, change out the cam and put a cam from the ICON on it. Smoothest bow you'll ever shoot. Just a thought.
Bowtec is poop.. forget those guys. It's senseless to buy a fast bow.. because truthfully if the deer wanted to jump out of the way it could. We just shoot them when they're feeding, chasing, horny etc. and their guard is let down.
Bowtec speed - 300-320 FPS
Deer Reaction speed - 1000+ FPS...
good luck, best regards.

I would never, ever, ever do that to anybody but you and that whisker bisq (cold soup). Was trying to make people laugh but I guess that I am just going to have to change my signature to include the phrase " I shoot nothing but Mathews" Maybe then they will see the humor in that post. Hey by the way finished 3rd in the Gander Mountain league, will not even post what I shot for the last weeks score, it was so embarrising. Had second place all the way up to the last round.I cut things up and split them down!

Congrats on the league
Imagine you would probably habe won if you had been using a biscuit. Hey by the way how much is it to shoot an hour at Gander there?
03-26-2006, 08:44 PM #12
well for a regular hour, 5 dollars, unless you have to wait for more than 15 minutes than it is free or unless you no the guy there, than its free or if you go in after most of the archery guys have left, then its free......so as for everyone else its 5 for me its freeI cut things up and split them down!

Ah I see now. Free is GOOD!!!! Our Gander range has only 4 lanes and costs $5.99/hr.

do they charge tax????
There is room for about 6-8 at the gander mountain here. Kinda like a clown car though after 6 guys. plus you get some of these guys who work all day then come in and are real rank....if you listening Coll you know this is for you buddy.I cut things up and split them down!
