    Default New String

My string and cables finally gave out on my Mathews FX. I brought it to my local archery shot and had them replaced. Ever since I couldn't get it to shoot any where near the same. I pulled the string and cables off and it measured them. They where 3/4" longer then what was specked on the bow. I don't know a ton about it but shouldn't it be what the bow specifies???

I would think they should be closer than 3/4".

Thats what I thought but I don't know what the tolerances level is on strings and cables and how much it affects the bow.

Was your bow intune before the new strings went on? All the strings will stretch, just a matter of putting in a few twists here and there to keep it in tune.

That doesn't sound good. Check ATA & BH and see if they're correct. .75" is some off.

3/4" is a big difference and its gonna take a lot of twists to shorten that up.

That would put your bow way out of tune.

Sounds like maybe they were out of the string and cable you needed and gave you what they had.......
I cut things up and split them down!
