Question Right way to install String silencers?

I have some string scilencers made by Sims. How do I put them in my string the right way? I know I have to press it and put it in the middle of my string but How far from cams? Is ther a special way to put them in the string?
    Any help would be great.

Split the string evenly, if you have a two color string it's pretty easy, you want them as close to the cams as possible. That will negate any potential speed loss. Mine are butted up against my serving top and bottom.

I used to put mine at the end of the serving comming off the cam. Since I added a deadly quiet string dampener, I don't need or use anything else to silence my string.
