    Default cowhorn

Been getting a few photos of this cowhorn lately.Looks to be a 2 1/2 year old buck(bad gene).I've had a few video clips of this buck being quite aggressive towards other deer.I think I'll put an arrow through the boiler room if I get a chance.Big buck sightings and photos have dropped off dramatically lately.08.25. was the last time I got any big boys on camera.Suddenly starting to get alot of doe pictures;which I didn't get before.

Yes;if it doesn't have the capability to grow a normal rack,I want to remove it so it doesn't pass on the gene.Besides;it gives me another excuse to shoot.

I still think that this deer is 2 1/2 years old.Look at its body size.Like I've said,I also had video clips of this buck displaying very aggressive behavior to racked bucks which cowered to this bucks actions.

Hes only 1.5 and he has great mains for that age. You cant tell a buck true potential until 3.5 let this young guy walk. Face is way to short, neck is way to thin for 2.5

Was just talking to a friend yesterday about this post. He reminded me of a article in North American Whitetail Magazine that said they did a study on spike bucks. Spikes after a few years ended up having normal racks just like other deer, so if you are culling them out to grow "normal" racks this isn't necessarily bad genes. On the other hand I really like non typical racks, & this 1 looks pretty cool.

That is the biggest spike I've ever seen. I couldn't tell you how old it is unless I had his jaw in my hand
