    Default Back Online....Finally!

Been out of town for 12 days in the hill country staying with the inlaws....We came back today and got power back an hour after we got home. My neighbors all hate us because we didn't have to suffer. But I DID stay with the inlaws for almost two full weeks! Our house made it fine through Ike, but my fence has some damage...my neighbors house got totaled by a very large pine tree. Luckily they decided to leave the night the storm was coming in, because the tree crashed through the room they were all in!

glad everything was ok when you got home. my folks lost a couple of 100+ year old oaks in their yard. luckily no major damage. one dented the siding a little and fell on a fence, the other one missed everything. it's a big job cleaning them up though.

Pink's folks have 6 trees done in their back yard and for some reason the hurricane blew in mutant size mosquitos (and A LOT of them). They still don't have power at their house and remain in the hill country away from the storm. found the cord...pics coming soon. I will post a pic of the giant bass I caught yesterday once I get the pic off mommy-in-laws camera

Here is a pic from my new blind...it was an old rifle stand that a tree fell on. I salvaged it and put it on the ground in a group of trees and brushed it in real good...he is still too young...got another year to grow (unless he jumps the fence and meets the shooter neighbors).

Women are far luckier than men. Where ever she sits those big boys will most likely come by. Happens evertime.

Agreed...man there is a high fence place on the way to our lease and we saw Elk, and a TON of Axis on there. In fact, a few miles down the road after the high fence place, there was a young axis buck that got hit by a car on the side of the road. How do you not throw that sucker in the back of your truck and take him home after you hit him? What a waste of a yummy animal!!!!! Saw a Yote cross the road in front of me as well while I was there...he stopped 30 yds from my window. Wish I woulda had my bow!!!! There is a bounty on their heads in that county!
