Default I bought a Tree Saddle & Klien climbers...

I got lucky on Ebay, seen a new saddle and a used set of Klein climbers with removable 3'' tree gaffs that have hardly been used with all new leather...Not sure if I will hunt with my new set-up this season,I want to get used to the saddle first...I need to practice in it..I have used climbers before, the main thing is to make sure you buy tree gaffs on them as utility poles do not have bark..You need deeper penetration in a tree...I will post the pros & cons of the saddle VS my climber...

Buddys of mine use them evertime they go into the stand. Your right thought just regular gaffs wont cut it on a tree.

I practiced nearly every day from mine for about two weeks before I felt ready to hunt in one. I'm really liking mine, so far. Good luck.
