find a good privately owned archery shop. get in good with the pro. you will be amazed when some stupid minor little problem comes up with your equipment that just stumps the hell out of you and one of these guys solves it in 5 minutes. the good ones have seen just about everything. throw them a little business and don't act like a jerk and they will go that extra mile for you.

    Default Hunter's Friend

I am blessed with a great local Archery shop (Kentucky Lake Outdoors) so I have not needed anything I can not find. However I peruse the internet trying to expand my knowlege base in archery. I found a very good website. While I have never purchased anything from them, Hunter's Friend ( huntersfriend.com ) has some great technical articles on their site. On the menu bar is a drop-down listed as Technical Articles and under Products they have a Product Selection Guide. The articles are well written, are not slanted to any particular product (the Whisker Bisquit vs Hostage piece may be a little biased) and are very informative. The Carbon Arrow piece is 5 or 6 parts long and goes from the very beginnings of Carbon Arrows to the Whats, Whys and Wherefores of today's offering. Whether you intend to buy or not the site is worth a visit. One warning though, go there when you can spend some time, as there is a lot of information and it takes a while to get through it all.

I agree wholeheartedly but I'll include Keystonecountrystore.com as well.

Chris and his wife at Obsession provide excellent customer service. A couple of years ago I ordered an item that was going to be back-ordered for several weeks. Chirs' wife called me on my cell to ask if I still wanted it or wanted to cancel the order. I told her I stall wanted it and it showed up in much shorter time than estimated.

Not many online stores out there that actually try to speak to you person to person. Too many CS departments 'hide' behind email.
