Default Question about shooting up and down hill?

When shooting uphill you aim higher and aim lower when shooting downhill?

    Do I have this correct?

this seems to work for me, if target is below my feet i will take off 2-3 yards, if target is on hill side above my head will take off 2-3 yards, otherwise i shoot for what i think is the yardage. dont know if correct but seems to work for me

    Default Angle

If the angle is steep enough you need to aim low no matter if it's uphill or downhill.

    J-Daddy has it right.

The distance that you need to hold is the horizontal distance from you to the target.

You guys can differentiate two yards in your shot distance? Or do you just hold a tad low? i.e. how much difference is there between 28 yds. & 30 yds. or 38/40 yds? Seems to me I'd guess holding an inch or two low and "let it go at that".

You are right if you have fixed pins Aim a little low like an inch or less. I have a HHA slider sight so I set it low, like if I guess the distance is 20 yrds to target I set my slider to 18 or 19 yrds and set my pin right on the 10 spot and realese the arrow.

A lot of the yardage cutting for up-hill and down hill also depends on your arrow speed, as well.....faster bows cut less than slower bows....

If you have an archers advantage program..you can play with it to see how steep/decline affects arrow flight,,,how much to cut.
