I will be rifle hunting. But thankfully it will be on private land. There is NO WAY IN HELL I would rifle hunt on public land. I value my life more than that!

I'll be out there with my bow. Lots of pressure on the surrounding lands during gun season. That's good for me.

I am hunting a place that has NEVER been hunted, but ever spot of land surrounding it has been. The main spot we are hunting is about 120 acres, but I could see it be very productive. I scouted for a few hours the other day, and didn't see any obvious signs, no rubs, scrapes etc, but it just looks too good for there not to be deer on there.

Don't know if I'd call it lucky or not. Everyday the deer are heavily pressured with this arrangement.

That sounds like a good situation. Hope you kill a giant!

I took a buck during PF season. Nothing huge, but he tastes GREAT!

It would actually make my year to kill a big buck tomorrow. I am hoping I will have my bow back and set up before the end of archery. I would oh so love to take a deer by bow this year.

Havenít picked up a gun in several years to deer hunt with. Regardless if it is modern gun, primitive weapon or archery, I carry my bow. The last deer that I killed with a gun (7-point) just didn't give me the trill that I enjoy from putting meat in the freezer with the bow.

No rifle for me. Hunting just getting good right now. Gun hunters are going to lay some deer down the next four days with the weather like it is.

    Talking happy hunting

im headed out to spend time with my dad. he just bought a sako tikka t3 in a 270 which is a big step for him since he usually only shoots .223s we sighted it in today and man is it a tack driver. sighted it in at 100 then i took 2 shots at 200 and it was about 3/4 of an inch high. but we might have some private land to hunt on if the guys stops by tomarrow morning. if not we got a back door to a sweet public spot that we seen thousands of tracks on.
