    Default NAP Blood runner broadhead

Anyone seen the new NAP bloodrunner broadhead?

What the picture doesn't show is the tip pushes in when it impacts and animal and the blades expand out to 1.5" cutting diameter.

This could be the next big thing. 1" cutting diameter in flight so it should be a good flyer.

You can buy them online here.

I'm not much of a mechanical guy, but the Grim Reaper/Spitfire design would seem to be the way to go for me......

this thing looks like it works like that new tru-fire broadhead, and havent they had problems with it?

One of the guys from our local shop took some out to try. He shot a good sized meat hog with them and killed the hog. BUT he shot the hog twice and BOTH broadheads came completely apart. I was at the butchers and saw one - the black plunger and two of the blades were the only things left from one and the butcher said the with the other one, everything separated from each other. There were blades and pieces all over the place.

I have heard some bad reports on these heads in SA. I hear they're pretty soft and break easily, also poor penetration.

Chris, have you taken a look at the new SteelForce head based on their Phathead? I shoot a variation of the Phathead they make for me, but have not tried the new mech head..
