    Default Browning Illusion

Holy cow, what a bow.. I finally picked up an Illusion while I was in Georgia about three weeks ago or so. Ended up getting an 05' model, even though everyone said the 06' was the way to go. After shooting both, I just couldn't justify spending the extra $200 for the 06'. Set the bow up, and shot it around the house getting it ready for 3D. I could tell it was a bit faster than the Rytera I was shooting, but didn't know for sure how much. Comparing my sight tapes from the Rytera and the Illusion the 10 yard to 30 yard marks had tightened up considerably and I had gained about 5 yards out at 50 yards.. But different bows, etc.. I didn't want to assume it was that much faster, but it sure looked that way.

Well, today I finally got to a chrono to check it out.. Shooting 29" @ 63 lbs. and a 335 grain arrow it shot 286/286/287! That's with a hooded super peep, loop, and string leaches on it.. About ten FPS faster than the Rytera with the same poundage and arrow setup. Talk about quiet too.. That's the first thing that came out of everyones mouth at the first 3D shoot I took it to about two weeks ago, how quiet it was.

I know that some people knock PSE/Browning/AR, but they've got a winner with the Illusion. Great bow for the money. Just thought I'd share, as I did some asking around here before I bought one.. Everyone that had one told me they were great bows, and they weren't kidding.

I don't own one but have shot one. they are a nice bow, I like the brownings, had an old x-cellerator, and a couple of PSE's.

p.s. They make a heck of a rifle also

And let's not forget pistolas as well..

I still kick myself for getting rid of my matt stainless Hi-Power .40 cal. many years ago..

Hey Bowman, what's PSE doing?? I really haven't been keeping up but I'm curious. I might have another Illusion coming my way in the 60# version. I've got a guy interested in a trade for my Rytera.. We'll see how that one pans out but if I get it, it's going to be set up for Pop-ups. That won't be a pretty sight.. Me shooting pop-ups.. Yeesh...

oh just buying up anything and everything they can get there grubby mits on...I used to shoot PSE and did for a few years.....

but I think maybe instead of buying every possible company they can get there hands on they should start producing a good quality shooting machine first....

would give more credibilty to the ventures they go in on in the future.....
