    Default summit sponsor?????

    do you guys think summit would sponsor us? just to keep this archery related i did use my recurve and a fiberglass fishing arrow to get the rope around the top of the tree

    are you taking the whole tree down? or just trimming branches??
    I cut things up and split them down!

    I like you GAMOBOY, but if you want to make it to GAMOMAN, you will stop doing what I think you are doing before you get seriously HURT.....

    the whole tree down and yes the saw was running, had to trim the branches off first. couldnt get all the way to the top so i had to do some redneck engineering. went inside got my recurve bow and shot an arrow through the top branches of the tree. the arrow was attached to some 80# test line then we tied the good rope around the string and pulled it through and tightened it so we could make the top fall where we wanted it to

    this was a 1 time thing. not ever gonna do that again. woulda just cut it all down at once but it woulda hit my house and their house. so had to do something

    had the stihl up there the first few times but that is one heavy machine. switched over to the poulan and was a little easier and alot safer. it was pretty scarry

    i know. i didnt actually cut off the top of the tree with me in the stand.. trust me i didnt want to be up there.

    If you pull up to my house right now there is a ladder stand in a tree next to my driveway that Michael used to trim the broken limbs after the ice storm Dec 2007. Course he used a pole saw not a chain saw.

    Bunnyman, how would you have done that? I can't see a regular ladder being anymore safe.
