    Question 62xs Serving .18 vs .21

Which is better? will they both work well and hold up?

I was tuning my sons bow and relized his nocks are way to tight. I dont know what serving was used on his string. So I am leaning tward the .21 since that is what is on my Ranger string and it is perfect(thanks again Justin).

Any help would be great. We are tring to get all set for Arrowing a turkey. so I want to get this resolved ASAP. Thanks guys in advance.

May not be only the serving. Depends on how many strands are in the string too.. What kind of arrows is he shooting? If there Easton and will take a G nock I may have a recomendation...

For me it's been trial & error.

I haven't noticed any difference in durability from one diameter of serving to the other.

If the nocks are too tight, use thinner serving. If they are too loose, use thicker.

There are so many different recipes for strings that it's difficult to give advice about which size serving will work the best over the internet.

I just serve up a inch or two. If it's good, I keep going. If it's too tight or too loose, I make a change.

Guys who make strings professionally, will have a much better feel for which serving to use.

Nock fit is one of the details of accurate shooting. It's not a big item, but certainly one that needs attention.
