Ahh....didn't say bow! Those things can move!! I was lucky on the first one...Mike made a good shot on the second, third was a LONG run bunny was walking in the end, could have used the bow on that one, Mike had an easy shot after I pointed it out for him! THICK cover!!

Thanks so very much for the pics. I think there is nothing that sounds quite as nice as a couple beagles running rabbits in the early morning hours. I absolutely used to love hunting rabbits with my late uncle. That old fart could really lay them down too. Again thanks alot for the memories you brought back to my mind as I looked at these pics. And congrats on those cottontails.

Appreciate you post. Seeing the dogs sure brought back fond memories of
hunting with dad and grandpa. There both gone now - haven't owned a
beagle for years. Looking at the pictures made me realize I miss it.

My buddy and I do hunt rabbits with our bow. It can be frustrating trying
to spot one before it takes off. I've not shot one on the run but have
tagged a couple that were doing the hop a few paces then stop. My buddy
can really spot them. I'm catching on to it.

At the moment, I'm not shooting a compound - I'm using a selfbow a friend
made for me. I've taken whitetails with it as well as other game. Really think
it's time to go to a compound due to the let off - I'm having trouble holding
at full draw this past season due to a neck injury. Drawing isn't a problem
for me, I just can't hold it for any length of time.

I apologize for getting off track of the original post. If you need to move
    it, no problem.
