    Default Top quality scope lenses

Would any body be interested in Top quality scope lenses at around $50. We would have Polycarbonate and High index plastic at the $50 price point. Available in .25(2x),.50(4x),.75(6x),1.0(8x),1.25(10x).

Also we would offer Top quality glass lenses at $60. In all the above powers.

All lenses would be with Premium AR coatings.

We would add 3x,5x,7x, and 9x at a later date and more than likely just in glass.

Please don't move this the manufacturers section. This is just a question.

What would delivery times be? How about drilling for .010-.029 fibers? Any warranty on them?

Delivery would be be pretty quick.(UPS) It wouldn't take to long to get ample stock. The poly and hi index lenses would be fast once we were ready to go. Glass would take a few days to process per order. I would be doing glass per order until we got enough demand. Each lenses will be individually ground per spec. Glass lenses have a few extra processes (i.e. case hardening). We would be able to do drilled lenses in Poly and Hi Index. Not glass.

We would provide a 1 year no hassle warranty on the lenses and coatings.

After seeing some of the lenses out there. I can definetly provide a better quality and a better price.

    Default New prices

    Okay,

I crunched some numbers and the prices changed. Poly went down in price and Hi Index and glass went up a little. New structure

    Available Powers:
    .25(2x).50(4x).75(6x)1.0(8x)1.25(10x)

Polycarbonate Aspheric Scope Lens with Premium Hydrophobic AR: $45.00

Hi Index Aspheric Scope Lens with Premium Hydrophobic AR: $55.00

    Glass with Premium AR: $66.00

    UPS Shipping $5.95

I'm still not ready to go with glass but will be shortly. Poly and Hi Index should be up and running very shortly.

For those of you don't know what the difference in materials is.

Poly is extremely lightweight and impact resistant. It can have adverse reactions to some chemicals like acetone, but all in all is a well rounded lens.

Hi Index is a Compound Resin that is light weight, but not a light as poly. It is also very impact resistant, but not as much as poly. It fairs better to chemical exposure than poly. It also has a higher ABBE value than poly. Which basically means it has less distortion or a higher clarity level. Depends on which way you look at it.( HI Index is my lens choice)

The last is glass which is the heaviest and least break resistant. However glass does have the highest ABBE value of the three materials. Which gives it the highest optical clarity. The only other downside to glass is that it won't accept Hydrophobic AR. It will take a premium AR, just not a Hydrophobic AR.

Hydrophobic AR is more durable and more scratch resistant than normal AR. Its far easier to clean and resists dirt and oils better than normal AR.

    Update

I found a way to get Hydrophobic AR on the glass lenses. Not only did I find a way to make it possible, but It didn't even increase the cost of the glass lenses.
