    Default tune up

Hey Have you tried to paper tune that setup yet? See if you are punching a pretty hole and if so it should fly good as well. Hope this helps, Holy Smokes

    Default My setup

    Well it's my Yamaha bow.
and the specs are in my signature.

The old flip rest was messing up my vanes.
An the arrows, while i was driving nails, flew more like bottle rockets to the target.

The whiskerbiscut is what I want to use for hunting.
The arrow fly straighter for, & even acheive a little rotation.
I'll probably have my arrows refletched with a right hand offset next time.
While for target shooting I want a dropaway rest.

I'm gonna buy a Firestorm lite from pse to hunt with, but not sure when I'll have the money, so I'm preparing to hunt with this old target bow just in case.

I gotta a question, whats the centershot area like on that bow??? Okay so maybe thats not the right term but you guys know what I mean, if the bow is old enough he may not have any room for anything but a flipper style rest. IE the shelf is too narrow.......

If the bow was using a flipper rest, the odds are that is have a very narrow shelf. This would be a big problem with a whisker biscuit. A narrow shelf means the vanes will contact the riser when the arrow leaves the bow. Feathers would help.

Default Okay, yall have a point, I considered.

This bow is designed to shoot with a rest slap on the rizer.
    I mean recurve style.

I know it messes with my geometry, totaly contradicting centerline theory( not to be confused with true center ).

It came with a springer rest, & it desimated my vanes, first shot.

Fletchings rubed side & bottom powdercoat clean off through the material.

I've tonight been able to align the 20 yrd pin, & be somewhat consistant.

    3 of 5 arrows in a 3 inch group.
    30yrds hit two of five.

I can't even see the groups at 20 without walking up so I think I mat be doing well, but not as well or up to the standards I set for myself.

It's gonna be like carnegee hall, practie, practice, practice.

PS: I still shoot instinctively better than with sights on the quick shot without sights up to 80 yrds with practice-----8 inch groups, or one shot bulls.

I realy miss quick shot tournies.
