Exclamation Vortex Open August 22, 2009

    .
Mark you calendars for the first Vortex Open to be held on Saturday August 22nd at the Blackhawk Bowhunters Club just south of Madison Wisconsin www.blackhawkbowhunters.com

Weíre still hashing out the fine details on the shoot itself but wanted to give everyone the heads up.

Hereís what we do know -

    • This will be a two-target type shoot with 3D and Open/F.I.T.A. targets. Everyone shoots both

    • There will be $3000 awarded in Vortex Products but not the normal way. Random drawing - this way every registered participant has the same chance of winning.

    • Those who register early will be in the drawing for the top prize 10x42 Razor. Might want to make sure you get in for this one! As soon as this registration date and fee is set you will know

Here are the rest of the Prizes
    • Fury 10x42
    • Fury 8x32
    • Diamondback 10x42
    • Diamondback 7x36
    • Nomad 60 AN Spotting Scope
    • Two - Raptor 8.5 x 32
    • Two Ė Solo 8x25
    • Two Ė Solo 10x35
    • Vortex Accessories and Apparel

Keep a look out for more info.

    Hope to see you there!

    Default Quick Update

We want this shoot to be first a fun shoot that the whole family can come and participate. Itís a great way for everyone to get together to experience a type of an event that they may have never done before or have little experience with.

Looks like it will be a 300 round 3D and 300 round FITA type shoot. For the 3D there will be 25 targets with a 12 ring as the high score and for the FITA it will either be 6 or 10 targets (still undecided) high arrow score of 10. This will make everyone shoot 55 arrows for the complete course with high score of 600 possible.

Itís still undecided on what classes and how many there will be if any Ė remember itís all about coming out to enjoy a sport with your fellow archers and a chance to win some Vortex products though a random drawing. There's also talk from the club about different novelty shoots going on through out the day.

    Thanks
    Tim

Wanted to keep it as simple as possibe with the classes. Main goal of the shoot is for eveyone to come out and have fun and bring the whole family. Don't have to worry about being a top shooter to win a great prize.

We'll see how it goes this year and hopefully be able to learn and grow it even better in the years to come - be great to have DB make it some year
