Javi, that's why they call it "practicing" medicine.

There were kids in my Division that i could (chronologically speaking) have been their parent. But I was able to keep up with them as long as I kept sneaking my 800mg Motrin in the morning and a Lortab before lights out.

Anyway, I'll light a candle for you, and me, and all the old farts trying to keep up playing a young man's game.

Javi, living with pain isn't good on you or those around you. Sometimes operations work, sometimes they don't. I've been cut, poked and prodded and have the T shirt to prove it. Remember brother, do what the doctors ask of you to help your recovery. Then once you get to feeling so darn good that you don't think you need to keep up with therapy, doctor visits, eating right and such .... have someone smack you back in to reality.
My dad always told me what don't kill you will make you strong I sure could of saved a lot of pain and sleepless nights had I not listened to him just this one time
Hang in there, sounds like you've got several here that are concerned and remembering you in their thoughts and prayers. Hope you don't mind if I jump on board
The surgery on my leg is to close the great saphenous vein because the valves are not working properly and so do not allow the blood to return to my heart.

I have had this condition since the mid 90's and various doctors have diagnosed it to be everything from a fungus they had in Viet Nam, or a virus to you're too fat and have lymph edema... It simply amazes me that some doctors can keep their license to practice... Oh well... I guess they can just bury their mistakes... Not a single one would acknowledge my pleas for help or referral to a specialist, until I found this young doctor who was both honest and smart enough to admit he didn't know....

I lost much of the quality of mobility for the better years of my life to their incompetence and only wish I could get each of them in a dark room for a little while... I know I shouldn't feel this way... but I sit here in discomfort as I have for a good many years and can't help feeling the need to vent...
Vent, Vent , Vent away. Don't hold that crap inside. It doesn't do any good in there.

I don't pray near as often as I should. Mainly because I think he stopped listening to me a few years back. Prayers sent, who knows maybe he is listening to me now a days...

Well, at least it ain't April 1st! Just curious, draw hand or bow hand?

I had the bow shoulder rotator fixed and shooting the bow after a bit actually made it feel better when I shot regularly, when I stopped during the rain it started hurting again. Fine now though and better than ever!

Good luck, I will keep you in my thoughts on the 10th!

Those first few days drawing again were tough, but it came back faster than I thought. I had it down to 45 per the doc and got it back to my weight, 66, in no time! I think it was only two months. Shot my daughters Genisis before I was supposed to.

Feel free to complain to me when you get going, I know how bad it can be. But I will also remind you to quit whining and go shoot! LOL.

Get out of your splint as soon as the Dr. and Physical Terrorist allow you to start working the range of motion and keep the scar tissue at bay.
Trust me the last thing you want is "Frozen Shoulder".. I get to go BACK under the knife on the 17th of April to get allteh scar tissue cut away.

Mike you know what I've been through and you are about to take your turn so keep your spirits high and in the end you will rejoice. There were times when I thought I might have made a mistake and lost patience wjth the rate of recovery but all that was for nothing as it all turned out well. I'm about 95 percent recovered now and this last surgery on my bowarm has taken 14 months to this day and I have no pain at all, still building up endurence however. You'll be fine Mike, it will just take a while and follow the doc's instructions.......no more/ no less.
