Default Texas Federation ASA Qualifier at Archer's for Christ Archery Club (Paris) May 23&24

The North Texas ASA Federation Tournament Trail is heading east to the tall hardwoods of Lamar County at Archer's for Christ Archery Club in Paris, Texas this weekend May 23 & 24.

10:00 am shotgun start on both Saturday and Sunday, You may shoot either day, 30 McKenzie targets, 15 known distance targets and 15 unknown distance targets, $30.00 entry fee for all adult classes, $16.00 entry fee for young adult and youth classes, $5.00 entry fee for all eagle classes. Cash pay backs for all adult classes, non cash awards for young adult and youth classes. Awards will be presented at approximately 4:00 pm on Sunday. ASA and Texas ASA rules apply and will be enforced.

We have a new class for 2009. The Known 45 (K45) is an all known distance class. The contestants in the K45 will be peer grouped together and will be responsible for having range finders. No yardage sheets will be issued for the K45 class. You may shoot the K45 class on Saturday or Sunday.

The Shooter of The Year program will be based on your 5 best qualifier scores out of the nine North Texas qualifiers PLUS your state championship score. We will be awarding SOY buckles for all adult, young adult, and youth classes (not eagles) for 2009.

For a complete schedule, rules, club links and more go to the Texas ASA Federation website at:

    http://texasasafederation.com/

Archer's for Christ has a beautiful range and they always set a challenging 3D course.

Archer's for Christ is the club that brought me the "idea" for a ASA National Pro/Am here in Texas in the winter of 2005. With their GREAT inspiration, hard work and dedication, with the help of the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Paris the Pro/Am became a reality in less than a year. Thank You Archer's for Christ !!!!

    And remember.....

We Are the Next Best Thing to a Pro/Am.

We may have to do that next year Dan. We just don't have that many Pros on a regular basis.....other than Geno and Rhonda. I guess if we started paying out for a Pro class more might show up.

Hey....You are always welcome to come a practice.

We had six pros that came and joined the Qaulifers. Most of them senior pros. Art Brown being the other pro. Of course Annette compeated. It been good for Oklahoma. Of course some times only four show up but thats fine. Been good for the Qaulifiers.

I'll be there Mike was going to come down any way shooting good right now don't want to lose my edge. Like DB said we have been paying $ 40.00 WITH 80% PAY BACK AND EVERYONE SEEMS TO LIKE IT and the host club makes alittle money out of deal cause no money goes to ASA, and some of the shooters get to talk with us pro's. LOL! Guys like DB, Art B., Kevin B., and David L. and heck i bet ole Gene C. and a few others will get in on it too.
