I'm Right Eye and Right Hand dominant.

When I'm shooting Right Handed, compound w/ a sight, I close my left eye.

When I'm shooting Left Handed either traditional or compound bare-bow, I keep both eyes open.

I use the eyes that are in my head. Both eyes open you only have one dominate eye. Closing one eye takes to much perception away. Some shoot good with one eye close, but for hunting I think you want to shoot with both eyes open.

My eyes are co-dominate so I shoot with the off eye closed. Meaning since i shoot right handed my left eye is closed. Otherwise my sight picture is thrown off by my left eye.

Both eyes open. It takes a bit to get used to but gives you a much better field of view. I was drawn and ready to release on a fairly good buck one year when I noticed movement on my left. There was a much bigger buck coming into view that I had not seen eariler. I was able to let down and draw on the larger buck, which is now on my wall. If I had been shooting with one eye closed, I would have never seen the larger deer.

1st thing is 1st.... did you make sure your right eye dominant? hold your hand out in front of you, and point one finger up.... kind like your throwing someone the "bird" focus both your eyes at that finger, then close one eye.... open that eye, and close the other.... whichever eye doesnt "move" the finger, is your dominant eye.... with that being said.... i have noticed shooting with one eye closed makes my open eye kinda squint-thus taking away accuracy..... i now shoot with both eyes open, but my dominant eye is the one that i really concentrate out of.... my other eye is just kinda there, its open, but its not really being used for say.... hope that makes sense...

    +1

I also don't have a dominate eye. I shoot lefty so I close my right eye. Doesn't matter if I shoot right or left handed. Which ever eye is slightly closer to the target tends to want to take over. Hence the one eye closed
