Default 2009 Kansas State ASA Championship Results

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported Kansas' 1st ASA State Championship. We had a total of 75 shooters from KS, MO, IL, OK and SD. We intend to put Kansas on the ASA map and can only do it with great support like this!

We really appreciate all the support. The course was set to challenge even the best shooters. Seeing the scores of the known 45 class should give you an idea of the toughness of the course! Congratulations to all the new Buckle owners!

Pictures will be posted later today on our website: http://tricountyarchery.shutterfly.com

Default Good turnout for the first year

Kansas has a great potential to grow in ASA throughout the state.

You guys did well for the first year.

Here is a picture of the new state champions that were available for a picture on Sunday. Some of the winners shot on Saturday and were not avalable for the picture.

It's going to take time and a lot of work to get more clubs around the state to join the ASA. Hopefully seeing the success of this shoot will make that task easier. South Central Kansas has a bunch of highly competitive archers as does the Salina area where the "No Bull" shoot is held.

We just have to get the word out to get more clubs on board for having state qualifiers next year. I'm not stopping there either, Nebraska and Iowa have some great shooters that need introduced to the ASA too!

If we keep working West maybe at some point we can have the numbers to hold a "Western Regional Triple Crown"-or something like that!
