Default 2009 Preslely's Midwest Open Tournament

The 2009 Presley's Midwest Open Archery Tournament is planned for Dec. 5 & 6, 2009 at Presley's Outdoors in Bartonville, IL.

The format is the same as the Iowa Pro-Am; that is, a 360 NFAA round is shot on Saturday, then on Sunday, the competitors will shoot a Vegas 330 round.

Registration will, once again begin for the 2008 competitors on October 1-15, 2009, first come-first served. From October 15 onwards it will be open to everyone, on a space available basis.

Friday, December 4 will have open practice from NOON until 8PM for a $5 fee.

Line selection is ONLY for your Saturday line time.

Sunday's line times are dictated by division and how you are placed within your division after Saturday's scores. The Top CHAMPIONSHIP shooters will again shoot at NOON on Sunday, with "overflow" shooting at 9:30AM. We will be running a 2:30PM line on SUNDAY, unlike last year.

This year, there are 4 lines available on SATURDAY:
    Saturday: 7:30AM
    Saturday: 11:30AM
    Saturday: 2:30PM
Saturday: 5:30PM (CUBS will shoot the Saturday 5:30OM Line)

More information will be forthcoming and posted soon. Last year's registrants will receive a flyer via e-mail within the next 30 days.

Thanks to everyone supporting this event to make it a success. Hope to see many of you at the event this year.

Will they follow the same classes as the Iowa Pro-Am?
Max arrow size, do they allow 27's?

I'll be posting either the flyer itself, or a link for the flyer sometime around August 15 - Sept. 1.

We follow NFAA rules as guidelines, so the MAX arrow size is per the new NFAA size restriction. NOTHING larger than that is permitted, so the "27" diameters are legal as are the GoltTip TripleXXX shafts.

As for the classes and divisions, those are on the flyer, but are pretty much the same as the Iowa-Pro Am. However, to shoot for MONEY...you MUST sign up in the CHAMPIONSHIP division...Amateur division shooters do not qualify for any of the money purse.

Hope this helps, and again I'll post either the flyer itself, or a link to it so everyone can print it out. Last year's participants do get "first dibs" and early registration from Oct 1-15. After that those Saturday line times are open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis. Late registration begins after Nov. 15 (added fee for late registration).
