Hmmm, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth again, so to speak. Had the same spike (6-8"spikes) below me twice last year and passed on him. Only to see him taken in SG season. The reality here is with the numbers of hunters, it will be shot by someone. He should have been in my freezer.

Oops, I have another. I want a rematch with the doe I missed @ 20 yards with the recurve. I shaved her armpit for her last fall.

Hopefully I'll remember to "pick a spot" before I let an arrow fly - which I should have nocked already, plus I best make sure no limbs are in the way. Then if I can only NOT over think the situation ......... oh man, this is giving me a headache

I'm going to have all my ranges marked before opening day from the stand. Missed a beautiful non-typical on my first morning sit.

I'm going to remember that my 40 yard pin glows slightly brighter than my 20. I used my 40 yard pin in the dim morning light and shot over the back of a great 150" 10 pointer standing nose-to-nose with my decoy last year.

Moments after missing the 150" 10 pt I was presented with the exact same shot on a 135" 8 pt. With the 10 pt standing at 50 yards I held on the 8 pt for an eternity finally letting down in hopes the bigger one would come back. This year I will slam it home without hesitation.

Nearly 32 years of bowhunting and I'm still learning and reminding myself of things to be prepared for. Ain't this fun?
