My apologies to some folks if this seems like a worthless and a waste of space for a thread, I did not take any pictures, but the event itself was diffidently worth mentioning for all those that put it together, I was just passing on my appreciation for a fun weekend.

Here is a pic for your thread Jeff. This is Tim getting the results of the shoot off.
1st Annual VORTEX OPEN!! - General Archery Forum

Mr. Austins intent may be to start a new thread with results and photos when he has all of the cards organized. His boss took a ton of photos on the range that he probably has not veiwed yet

This event was way better then anyone could have forecatsed.....212 shooters! Blackhawk did a great job as hosts and I have to say that those in attendence were very laid back. It was as if no shooter was there for the archery, but more the social aspect.

Speaking for myself....I did not find the post worthless.

I see that you are on some ones staff? Is that the way Gulfcoast wants their shooters to act or represent themselves? Now if this was a joke, I didn't get it.

There is so much good here and other archery sites, I just don't get the fact that some need the entertainment factor more then they need to help/discuss/promote archery. I don't post much but I do take the time to read almost everthing and this kind of activity is why many of us do not post.....bad comments and poor responses!

There I said what I have been thinking all morning, you may crucify me now.

    Default Thanks for the post

    Good afternoon everyone,

We’re hoping to have all the scores available and start posting photos by Wednesday. The turn out was fantastic for our first one. Need to thank all of those who came out on a beautiful day and the club – Blackhawk Bowhunters.
    Take care
    Tim

Boy, I wanted to go to that shoot. However, I can't get away when we are swamped with customers. Hope everyone had a great time.

The above statement from Supermag is not generally used to say "your thread is worthless", and I think you guys misunderstood what he was trying to say.

I have always thought of the statement to mean "I'm very interested in what your are talking about and would love to have a visual".

It is used usually when someone posts that they got to shoot a new 2010 bow.......or similar post.

I believe no harm was intended ....so now that we cleared that up, do you have any more pictures? I'd like to see more!

We often joke about this on this forum. Its a compliment to say he wants to see pictures of this event. He wasnt trying to say it was worthless in the sense you guys are taking it. I also love to see pictures and Im looking forward to seeing TIms.
