    Default First Time Hunter Thread

What advise do you have for first time hunter?

Have your bowed tuned and be practiced enough to have confidence to hit your game.

If your a deer hunter learn your Oak trees and food source. Deer perfer White Oaks.

Look on the ground for deer droppings. Often its the best sign if there deer in the area.

Always set your deer stand down wind and play the wind for best results.

In the rut find and hunt where you see does and the bucks will be there as well.

Elite bows, Vortex Binos, Trophy Taker sights, Carter releases, Goldtip Arrows. CBE sights, Vapor Trail Strings, B Stinger stabilizers

    In the horn of Michigan

Default In Michigan or heavy hunted areas...

Bucks don't get big by being the first ones in the field. Big buck often follow a couple hundred yard behind smaller bucks. Sometimes it's hard to sit and watch a small 6 or 8 walk though but I ve shot most of my bigger bucks a couple of minute after passing on a smaller buck.

Follow the advise given above, add patience and keep movement to a minimum - I like to stay in the shadows as much as possible.
