Default Archers shooting mechinical deer (Poaching)

Found this video searching the web. Have not seen many videos with archers shooting the fake deer. Putting sad when you shoot seven arrows and have not figured out its a fake deer. Of course poachers are not very smart.

    Link to video.

I've seen one of those last year in my county... pretty easy to spot, even for a newbie like me. I really wish i could have hidden and watched them nail the idiots who shot at it. It was 30 yards from the gravel road.. just standing there.. LOL

A man in his mid 30's from a well known family of poachers got caught on two different occasions shooting the same mechanical deer IN the same field Of course alcohol was involved, maybe that's why he didn't recognize the area

That bow hunter at the end was definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

My goodness if that game warden had of stopped him he would have shot every arrow in his quiver.

This wouldn't phase them. Take their weapons, vehicle and hunting clothes down to their briefs for the long ride to jail. Then post pictures in every paper in the area along with a list of what all gets confiscated when your caught poaching.

there lucky they dont get shot in the process..how many poachers do you think go out drunk or on drugs and just start shooting?

I've only come across this once, and it was years ago.

My dad, uncle and myself went out to the woods where my dad and uncle had some archery stands. If i remember right, they were going out to check them and do upkeep for the upcomming archery season that year. Well, when we walked up to my dads stand, there was 2 deer piled up with the horns cut out of there heads..Sad to see, since they werent the biggest deer in the woods but someone needed some meat in late Sept. Since this was before cell phones were so popular, we had to head back out of the woods and down to the local diner to call the game wardens. Not sure if they ever went out to investigate it, but we tried

I would love for the wardens to set one of these up on my lease.
