2" or 4" Vanes
Well I need to buy a 1/2 dozen arrows before season starts. I have been using Gold Tip w/ 2" vanes. I was wondering if it was worth it to go to the 4" vanes for hunting. I will be using G5 Striker broad heads out of my Reezin 6.5 using QAD Ultra rest. Is the 4" vanes more stable & forgiving with a fixed blade?

Stick with the Blazer type vanes
They really do work well.

I used g5 striker last year with 4" vanes, after reading this thread yesterday I decides to try the striker with my new arrows that have 2" blazers. they shot the same as they did with 4" vanes, grouped about 1.5-2" low of my fp. I just love the stainless tip on those heads.

I promise ya, you will find NO difference etween 4" vanes than 2" Bohning Blazers. They are my first choice as well.

4 inch vanes with a helical may offer more steering ability, but that doesn't mean Blazers don't work. I shoot Blazers on my hunting arrows. They work very well. Broadhead size also plays a role in how much steering is needed to be accurate.Of all the things I lost I miss my mind the Most!?!?!?
