    Default New Contender Elite Coming!

    Hey All,

Well, I can honestly say that I didn't need this at all, but I have always wanted a Hoyt Target bow just to compare it against my A7, so I ordered up a 2010 Contender Elite a few hours ago.

    Here are the specs:

    2010 Contender Elite (Orange)
    28"DL, 50#
    Cam & 1/2 Plus
    XT 2000 limbs
    Fuse 28" stabilizer
    SureLoc Challenger
    TrueSpot 4X 3D scope
    TT SSII rest

I'm very excited to see how different it feels from a ProElite, everyone I know has those, and I thought with the new technologies incorporated into the target bow, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm not sure which I'll like better, the A7 or the Contender Elite, but I'm sure I'll figure it out pretty quick. Hopefully it will be the Hoyt for Spots, so I can convert my A7 into my 3D rig.

What do you guys think of the new Contender Elite? Anyone shot it yet? Is it pretty amazing? I ordered it blind, but I'm sure it is going to be sweet!

The orange color is very pretty on the new Hoyt bows congrats. I have never shot one but Reo Wilde seemed to be very impressed with them so you should have a great bow. Congrats

Hello, new guy here again. The Contender Elite caught my eye as well. If you don't mind how much does that bow cost?

i wonder if they will be as good or better than the pro elite. i kinda wish they would not have gotten rid of the pro elite and the ultra elite.

From what it sounds like, the Contender Elite is the EXACT same bow as the ProElite, just a stronger riser design. Everyhing about them is very similar though. Reo said that he likes this bow best of all the bows, so that must be a good thing.

Yeah he did, spec wise it is pretty much the same bow, but it must shoot a whole lot better.

Wow, that is a lot of money............but it is not out of reach...................that is what I will have to pay to replace the brakes on my car front and back.................It will cost $1300 to charter a boat to go off shore shark fishing off the coast of ocean city this summer...................Or I could go fly fishing on the flats of St. Andros Island in the Bahammas this spring..............Ohhh........I've got that feeling again..................No I will not give in..................I will just get the Sentinal FLX by Bow-Tech..................Yeap that is what I am gonna do.....................It never ends.

Will do...it is only 5-7 weeks out now. 6-8 when I ordered it. High demand bow. But, I'll definitely load it up and start shooting it and let you know how it does. I typically shoot about a 299, 40X with my Apex 7, so I'm interested to see if after shooting the new Hoyt for a week or so, if I'll get that up to a 45X count or something. Just something about Hoyts that hold better on target.

No, I am just going to take all the crap off the A7 and put it on the Hoyt. That is why it is just barebow cost.
