Default Gus gets his first deer

Always the highlight of my season.

Give Gamoboy alot of credit for helping this youngman and bringing him down to harvest. I invited Gamoboy (Mike) and he wanted Gus (15yrs old) to get a deer. I said lets do it.

Took them to one of my best holes. Think we saw over 20 head atleast.

Only this one came close. Little button buck but you cant tell 80 yards away.

Gus used my Remington 270 with the Vortex Viper scope and he said it was crystal clear. He made a great shot. Fun time by all.

Picture of Gus and Gamoboy (MIke) Always fun to make new friends.

My first deer was about that size. And I remember it as well as my first buck which coincidently was my biggest buck. Good job Gus on the hunt and awesome DB for helping some one get the fever. Now get him started on the ol stick and string.

he has already started on the archery. i have taken him out bowhunting several times and we havent seen anything all season. DB is a good man for letting us come hunt with him, we had alot of fun. seen alot of deer just nothing close enough till this little guy came up.we didnt see momma till Gus pulled the trigger and this guy snuck in on us so i told gus to go ahead and take (her). Well we just got him cleaned and quarted up and put in the freezer for now. i think we will have some back strap steaks in a few days. Gus is one happy camper and it is always nice to share an experience with someone when they shoot their first deer. oh and Dan i forgot to give you back your shooting stick. ill get it back to you as soon as possible

Gamoboy its prombly best he dont come, he would get spoiled hunting with my guided hunts. Gamoboy saw more deer in one hunt than some see all year.

Alright, I will get down there. I've just delayed it since sometimes I can be bad luck. Gotta make it quick that wife of mine is about to pop. Baby is due in less than a month.

I have a feeling you're going to have plenty of help. All that time helping others will surely come back good on ya. You should have plenty of people willing to lend a hand, me included.

Most dont realize how much I do hanging stands and getting enough stands for two hunters in place. Gamoboy will darn sure get you a deer as well.
