Okarcher misses a target and still takes second in semis at ASA Paris
Chad thats just smoking good shooting. Its often takes a strong mental game to stay focussed after a miss.
Semi pro class is tough. Impressive Chad. That Elite GT500 seems to be working for you. Winning around $1500.00 aint a bad day at all.

Nice shooting and Congrats!
Out of curiosity, was the miss yards or induced by all that wind ?In a better world, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms would be the name of a convenience store and not the name of a govenment agency.

The miss was about 4 or 5 targets in on the first morning and it was due to a severe miscalculation on yardage. I misjudged a deer over a rise with some logs in front of it for about 5yds. I shot it for 39 and everyone else in my group shot him for around 44yds. It definately takes some wind out of your sails when you miss. I just changed my goals in mid-stride and told myself my goal for day one was to atleast shoot 10 down so that the only points I dropped would be the miss. I accomplished that by shooting only 8 down for day one. Day two I came in looking to shoot my way back to even after 5 targets I was back at even. I started off day two with a 10 followed by 6-12's then another 10 & 12. So I was 14up after 9 targets. I did make it to 18up and shot 3-8's in the last 6 targets along with 2-10's and a 12 to leave me at 14up for the day. After the miss I just told myself to be smart stick to the plan and make a great shot eveytime and see what it can do for you. Unlike what i have been known for in the past, I didn't shoot at one 14 all weekend long. I made up all the ground just shooting at 12's and some safe 10's when I wasn't real confident in my yardage and that bought me a couple 12's itself. Not to mention the group I shot with was just an awsome gruop of guys and there was always an arrow to shoot at. Thanks everyone for the praise. Thank God for the ability and the timeGoldtip Arrows,T.R.U. Ball Releases
