Morgan County Alabama April 3-4 3d Shoot
The Morgan County Archery Association will be ready for this Easter weekend, April 3-4. The range will be open from 8:00 am and last card out at 3:30 pm. on Saturday and Sunday.
Also, there will be TEAM Shoot Sunday afternoon with 50% payback. Registration for the Team Shoot will start at 1:00 pm with the shoot starting at 1:30 pm.
For those who haven't participated in a Team Shoot or do not know what one is:
A Team Shoot is where each group is mixed with Open, Novice, Seniors, etc. and as a team you will discuss yardage and strategies at each station. You will still shoot from your respective stake, but you'll have the advantage of a "better guess" on yardage as well help on where's the best shot placement. The Team shoot is beneficial to everyone, but mostly to the newbies. This will allow the novice shooters the chance to shoot alongside of more experienced shooters and pick up pointers. Each Team will be divided up as equal as possible. Also, the lowest score is dropped at each stations, i.e. - if you have 5 shooters, then only 4 scores count. The 2 teams with the highest scores wins. It is perfectly fine if you want to come and shoot on Saturday and/or Sunday morning and still participate in the Team Shoot. No range finders are allowed. Binoculars are most definitely a plus.
The fee is $10 for the first round and $5 for each additional round. The entry fee for the team shoot is also $10.
The range is located at: 1380 Thompson Road NE - Decatur, AL 35603
