Thread: sight screw tap

  1. #1

    Default sight screw tap

I put a new sight on my older hoyt bow ( 3 years old ) and as I tried to get the screw all the way in I striped the screw hole. Can I retap or is there a simple way to get the screw to hold ????

Go to an autoparts store and by a heli-coil kit size 10x24 .It will come with a drill bit, tap, and helicoils. It's easy to do.

Yep, heli-coil should work just fine.
